Annual leave
It is 8, 12 or 16 days a year by years of service, as the Employment Act 1955 sets out.
Sick leave
It is 14, 18 or 22 days a year by years of service, and 60 days when hospitalised.
Maternity and paternity leave
Maternity leave is 98 consecutive days and paternity leave is 7 consecutive days.
Public holidays
Employees get 11 paid gazetted holidays, 5 of them compulsory. You pick the other 6 once, and state holidays are loaded too.
Identifiers
NRIC, EPF, SOCSO and income tax numbers are stored encrypted and visible only to admins.
Records
Leave, attendance and document records are kept as long as you need and can be exported any time.
Your accountant
Invite your accountant or payroll provider for free. They export what they need.
Your data is hosted in Sydney, Australia, and encrypted. We never sell it.

What is fourweeks?
HR software for businesses in Malaysia. It keeps people, leave, public holidays, rosters, timesheets and documents in one place, with an app for your crew.
Does fourweeks run payroll in Malaysia?
Not yet. Payroll for Malaysia is on the roadmap. Until then, timesheets and leave export cleanly for whoever runs your pay. When it ships, it is included in Pay and Everything.
Does it know Malaysian leave rules?
Yes. Annual, sick, hospitalisation, maternity and paternity leave follow the Employment Act 1955, as amended in 2023. Gazetted holidays are loaded, including the 5 compulsory days, and you choose your other 6 once. If you give more than the Act requires, set it once and it applies to everyone.
Can I import my people from a spreadsheet?
Yes. Upload the list you have and we match the columns. If you like, we do the first import with you on a call.
What does it cost?
Free for up to 5 people. Crew is RM 22 per person, per month, plus SST, on an annual plan. Pay is RM 34 and Everything is RM 42. Monthly costs a little more. Groups with several companies get an Enterprise quote. There is no setup fee and no lock-in.
Do my staff need to download an app?
They can. Leave requests, documents and their own details are all in it. It also works in a browser.
When does fourweeks open in Malaysia?
Early 2027. We let teams in from the waitlist in the order they joined.
Why is it called fourweeks?
Four weeks is the annual leave a full-time worker gets in Australia, where fourweeks started. We named the company after the best part of the job.
Where is my data stored?
In Sydney, Australia, encrypted at rest and in transit. You can export all of it at any time.
What if it is not for me?
Export everything and cancel from your account. There is no phone call and no retention offer.
